Cristian Tagle, President of the Chilean Cherry Association of the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX), reached and signed an agreement with the ASPA1 shipping Union to introduce fast vessels between the 47th and the 52th week of 2016.

This will reduce the shipping time for Chilean cherries from South America to Hong Kong and Shanghai to 22 and 25 days respectively. This initiative benefits all members of the Association and the Chilean cherry industry as a whole. It means that the shipping time of Chilean cherries to China will be shortened by five days, and the market will see fresher and high-quality cherries, which is conducive to sales in the Chinese market.
